Backend Software Engineer (Onsite – Auckland NZ)

💻  About the Role:  
We seek a software engineer, that is based here in Auckland New Zealand - who is passionate about being on the tools, and engineering solutions to complex problems. As an early member of our cross-functional team, you’ll be focused on developing and deploying code and solving real world problems. You will have ample opportunities for growth in this role as you will join an experienced, but small engineering team that is creative and aligns with the value of keeping things simple.  

 🛠 Our Tech Stack Includes: 

• We use Typescript, Node, Go in the backend  

• Rest + GraphQL APIs that power our frontend applications and Integrations  
• Our primary database is Postgres – but we also use MongoDB, Redis and DynamoDB 
• We are fully hosted on AWS using Terraform (IaaC)  
• Launchdarkly, Mixpanel

⚙️ Essential Skills: 

• Experience in building complex API first features in the backend works. 

• Skilled in Javascript, TypeScript, Node JS, Express (or similar frameworks)  
• Skilled in working with complex data models  
• Ability to deliver feature sets cross functionally; means you will be working with product, design and other engineers to get the best outcomes for a customers 
• Knowledge about domain driven design is a bonus 
• Growth mindset when developing and learning is a must as you will work towards the next level in your career!
